The Providence Pilgrims got a sterling performance from pitcher Salvador Rosas, but the Philadelphia Liberty Academy still prevailed, 4-3. Rosas threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Tanzan Jouda was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 22 of 26 save opportunities. Philadelphia is now 54-48.

Millard MacKinney provided a timely hit. The Philadelphia designated hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Liberty Academy on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Feels good to get the job done," MacKinney said after the game.
