A 4-RBI performance from Dan Wells, who finished 2nd in the PL in OPS with .939 in 2051, helped the Greenville 84s beat the New Orleans Voodoo, 8-7. Picking up the win was Thaddeus Alambra. He went 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 1 and walked 2. The win has Greenville at 35-55.

Greenville used a well-timed hit by Zhong-yan Zhang to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the 84s ahead, 6-4. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager John Bosma.
