Squirrel Hill starter Robert Martin put the Barton Springs offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his splitter in leading the Pierogis to a 3-1 win. Martin got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Richard Roche earned the save for Squirrel Hill, his 10th of the year.
