Kenny Wallace never let Lake Murray get something going. The Arizona left-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Javelina to a 2-1 win. The winner was Wallace. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Franco Morán. Arizona has now won 4 straight.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Javelina had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when third baseman Calvin Kirk hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Franco Morán and made the score 2-0, Javelina.
