Baker Belts 2 Homers in 6-2 Win
The Asheville Highlanders defeated the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 6-2, at Asheville Park. Asheville designated hitter Tom Baker had a superb performance. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Asheville starter Niek Proeme was credited with the win after throwing 94 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-4. Earning his 4th save for Asheville was Christian Wilson.

Baker contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Asheville in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Baker took a cutter from Max Patrick and stroked the home run to left-center. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Highlanders to leap in front, 3-2.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Baker said after the game.

Their 63-39 record puts the Highlanders second in the Silver AA.
