The Crescent City Krewe got their 2061 season off and running with a win over the Ithaca Fighting Imps at Field of the Krewe. The final score was 7-4 in 11 innings. Crescent City pinch hitter Nick Richardson, in particular, had a fine performance.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Richardson hit a fastball from Nick O'Day for a 3-run home run. The Krewe, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Richardson.
