Injury Sidelines Li-ping Cheng for Season

Mercer Island has lost starting pitcher Li-ping Cheng for at least 8-9 months. He was hurt in a game against the Krewe while throwing a pitch and sustained a torn rotator cuff. His doctors said Cheng will probably be out the rest of the year.
