Martin Drills 2 Homers in 6-5 Marquette Win
|
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles opened their 2062 season with a disappointing 6-5 loss to the Marquette Miners at Mercer Island Grounds. Center Fielder Dominique Martin was a big part of the win for Marquette. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Jody Dunn earned the save for Marquette, his 1st.
In the top of the third, Martin had a 3-run home run for Marquette. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Miners on top, 3-0.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Martin told the Marquette Observer.
