Ithaca picked up a win at Experimental Stadium, bumping off the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 3-1. Pitcher Salvador Pérez was a major reason the Fighting Imps emerged victorious. Ithaca goes to 2-0.

Ithaca used the hitting of Steven Gagg to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Fighting Imps on top, 3-0. For the game, Gagg had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Tough loss," said Gwinnett manager Cary Collins. "But we'll learn from it."
