Cangrejos Fantasmas Upend Mariachis, 5-1

The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas went home winners at Mariachi Band Shell, thanks in large part to starter Howard Rodríguez. Rodríguez stifled the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, enabling Chesapeake to grab the 5-1 win. Rodríguez yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. The Cangrejos Fantasmas, now 3-1, have been playing some good baseball.
Danny Belcher went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Chesapeake. The 26-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off David O'Halloran. It was his 5th hit of the season.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Belcher told the Chesapeake Observer.
