Seattle Rocketeers starter Pablo Valentín found his groove in his team's 4-2 win over the Detroit Elite. The winner was Valentín. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Satoshi Morimoto. The win gives Seattle a season record of 52-39.

Seattle used a clutch at-bat from Ron Pollard to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Seattle manager Andrew Powell.
