The Olympia Ogres used a great performance from Jeff McDonald, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2056 draft, to beat the Marquette Miners, 2-1, at The Ogre Den. Jorge Mojica notched his 1st save of the season. The win gives the Ogres a record of 2-2.

Had Jorge Martínez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Martínez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Ogres.

"Jeff did a good job of shutting their lineup down," said Olympia manager Andrés Gonzáles.
