Atoms Field was the site for USPL Double A action featuring the Crescent City Krewe and Bethesda Atoms.

Bethesda pitcher George Boyce had a large part in his team subduing the Crescent City Krewe, 8-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. With the win, Bethesda boosts its record to 2-2.

In the bottom of the first inning, catcher Mel Kiper III had a 2-run home run for Bethesda. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Atoms on top, 3-1.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Boyce said after the game.
