The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs picked up a win at Liberty Academy Field, topping the Philadelphia Liberty Academy, 3-1. On the mound for Gwinnett was right-hander Rod Pritchard. He played a principal role in the triumph. Matt Griffin collected his 2nd save. The win gives Gwinnett a record of 4-1.

Richard Fairchild had a direct impact on the outcome. Fairchild contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Gwinnett up, 2-1.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Pritchard told the Gwinnett Bulletin. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
