Krewe Deal Atoms 6-2 Loss
|
The Crescent City Krewe faced a tough opponent in Bethesda pitcher Gin-fan Dou, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Atoms Field by a final score of 6-2 in 10 innings. Dou went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Rich Griffin earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The loss drops the Atoms to 2-3.
Crescent City used the hitting of Cris Colón to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Krewe on top, 3-2. For the game, Colón had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Said losing manager Esteban Garza: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
