White Walkers Lose at Home, 6-3
|
Seattle center fielder McFlurry Beck contributed significantly to his team's 6-3 win over the Buffalo White Walkers. Beck, who is tied for 8th in the PL in triples with 3, went 3 for 3 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rocketeers. Bill Hayes closed the door for Seattle, picking up his 14th save of the year. With the win over Buffalo, the Rocketeers improved to 45-46.
Seattle used the timely hitting of Cortland Talman to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We did a lot of things right," said Talman.
