Pontiac Copperdome was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Pontiac Godfathers and Alameda Airmen.
Larry Norris helped his team muscle past the Alameda Airmen, 10-9. In the game, the Pontiac catcher went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winner in relief was Carlos Ramos. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0.
With Pontiac leading 7-6 in the bottom of the fifth, Norris came up to bat against Alameda pitcher Chris Weber. Norris hit a fastball to left for a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season put the Godfathers on top, 9-6.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Pontiac manager John Moss.
With the win, Pontiac elevates its record to 3-1.
