Gwinnett pitcher Sam Frey did his part in helping his team defeat the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Matt Griffin earned the save for Gwinnett, his 1st. Gwinnett goes to 3-5.

The Guinea Pigs had to work out of trouble with one out in the top of the ninth. The score was 4-2, Gwinnett. But Nuevo Mexico, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had mounted a threat. Craig Webb dug in at the plate. But on a 1-0 fastball, Webb hit into a double play.
