Fighting Imps Snag 7-5 Win
Evan Winn was instrumental in his team's 7-5 triumph over the Olympia Ogres. The second baseman was 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times for the Ithaca Fighting Imps. Frederick Jennings snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 3.2 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Picking up his 1st save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Bob Daniel.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Henry Meredith came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Olympia pitcher Rodrigo Romano, he hit a 1-0 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Ithaca on top, 6-5.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Meredith. "It sure beats the alternative."
