The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas powered past the St. Petersburg Thunder, 9-3, at Ghost Crab Park. Nathan Dixon provided some of the pop. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Dwayne Castillo earned the save for Chesapeake, his 1st of the year. With the loss, St. Petersburg drops to 2-6.

The tide might have turned with one out in the top of the fifth, had not Larry Wallace made a big pitch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Thunder trailing 5-2, he retired Joe Bunte, who grounded out.
