The Providence Pilgrims picked up a win at Atoms Field, knocking off the Bethesda Atoms, 4-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Providence was right-hander José Durán. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The winner in relief was José Márquez. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The win lifts Providence to a record of 3-6.

Providence went up, 4-3, on Henry Wakeham's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Wakeham hit in the top of the 11th, left Bethesda pitcher Gregg Sutherland feeling deflated.
