Armstrong Helps Ithaca Cruise to 12-3 Win
The Ithaca Fighting Imps soundly defeated the Olympia Ogres, 12-3, at Imps Park, with left fielder Justin Armstrong a major reason why. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for Ithaca. Matt Dougherty, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 4 innings. With the win, Ithaca elevates its record to 5-5.

With Ithaca leading 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Armstrong hit a fastball from Alfonso Ríos for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Fighting Imps ahead, 7-2.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Armstrong.
