In a tight tilt between the Crescent City Krewe and the Marquette Miners, Paikea Hotu was the deciding factor. The Crescent City right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Crescent City goes to 5-6.

Crescent City won the game in part because of Arnold González. The second baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the second inning to put the Krewe ahead, 1-0. For the game, González had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Crescent City manager Jack Morton said.
