Anthony Samuels pitched well, but his team, the Bethesda Atoms, still dropped a 4-3 decision to the Crescent City Krewe at Field of the Krewe. Ronald Moore earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The win gives the Krewe a record of 8-4.

Toshikuni Matsuoka's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the game tied, 3-3. The Crescent City second baseman hit a run-scoring single off Anthony Samuels to put the Krewe up.

"I like our mindset right now," said Crescent City manager Jack Morton.
