|
Joseph Campbell, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2058 draft, never let the Turbeaus get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Miners to a win, 2-0. Jody Dunn collected his 5th save. The Turbeaus, now 3-9, continue their poor start.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Francis Davis didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Gulf Coast trailing 2-0, Davis retired Mark Glenn to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Davis, with a wink.
