Guinea Pigs Deal Mariachis 5-4 Defeat
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs turned back the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 5-4, at Mariachi Band Shell. Pierrick Pasquet, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The loss lowers the Nuevo Mexico record to 7-5.

Pasquet made an early impact for Gwinnett when he stroked his 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Guinea Pigs on top, 5-0.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Nuevo Mexico manager Allen Carlson said, following the tough loss.
