The Vancouver Vipers got great pitching from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Marc Maxwell, allowing them to bump off the Olympia Ogres, 2-0. The loss drops Olympia to 6-8.

Maxwell dominated for Vancouver, raising his record to 1-1. Olympia hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 4 hits over 8 innings while striking out 5.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Vancouver manager Rafael Longoria.
