Generals Lose at Home, 1-0
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars racked up a win at Washington Park, bumping off the Washington Generals, 1-0. Karl Roberts, who started for Idaho Falls, pitched effectively for his team. In 8 innings, Roberts surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Gregg Carlson got credit for the save for Idaho Falls. It was his 2nd of the year.
Millennium Anton Woods, Jr., who is rated as the 30th best prospect by BNN, had a direct impact on the outcome. Woods, Jr. contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Idaho Falls up, 1-0.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Roberts.
The win puts Idaho Falls at 5-2.
