Yellows Deal Chukars 5-4 Loss
|
The Yucca Valley Yellows topped the Idaho Falls Chukars, 5-4, in 10 innings at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. The game was highlighted by the performance of Yucca Valley pitcher Jonathan Rasmussen. Mark Davis came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Yellows, now 6-1, have been playing some good baseball.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Yucca Valley first baseman Josh Dwyer, facing Tom McKerchar, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Yellows the 5-4 win.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Dwyer.
