Rainbow Mermaids Take Down Thunder, 5-4
Ánibal Hernández did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Toronto Thunder from being beaten, 5-4, to the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Atlantica. Hernández went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Northern Virginia now has a record of 6-4.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jarrod Harris in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 32-year old left-handed pitcher Andrew Stockton to win the game for Northern Virginia. The home crowd went nuts.

"We ground out the win," said Harris. "That's all that matters."
