Shredders Come Up Short at New Orleans, 3-2
New Orleans turned a good effort from starter Soong-yong Yi into a win over the Hollywood Shredders at The Voodoo Lounge. The final score was 3-2. New Orleans occupies second place in the Premier League at 54-38.

Saikaku Kato had a big solo home run for the Voodoo in the bottom of the second inning. With New Orleans leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Yoshitaka Shinohara and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Voodoo on top, 3-0.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims. "That's what Soong-yong is right now."
