New Orleans Defeats Boston, 2-1
|
New Orleans turned a fine outing from starter Bhu Pahayahay into a victory over the Boston Patriots at Dunkin Donuts Park. The final score was 2-1. Bob Douglas locked down his 24th save. The third-place Voodoo now have a record of 51-41.
New Orleans used the timely hitting of Shu-yaan Hor to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Voodoo on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Tough loss," said Boston manager Tyler Carter. "This one will sting for a while."
