The Crescent City Krewe picked up a win at The Ogre Den, knocking off the Olympia Ogres, 6-3. On the mound for Crescent City was right-hander Bill Darcy. He played a key role in the triumph. In 6 innings, Darcy surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The Ogres, now 6-11, continue their poor start.
Crescent City used the timely hitting of Truman Miner to capture the win. The catcher socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Krewe ahead, 6-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Darcy.
