Screaming Eagles Take Tight Tangle
Marquette got a valiant performance from pitcher Jesús López, but it wasn't enough to beat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles. Mercer Island won the game, 4-3. López threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Henry Ball picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Bo Taylor was tagged with the loss. Mercer Island sits at 9-9.

Mercer Island went up, 4-3, on Ignacio Aguirre's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Aguirre hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Marquette pitcher Bo Taylor shaking his head.
