The Vancouver Vipers got a sterling performance from pitcher Juan Zanudo, but the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs still prevailed, 7-4. Zanudo threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The win has Gwinnett at 11-7.
Gwinnett used a clutch hit from Logan Poulter to get the win. The third baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Guinea Pigs ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"Let's just say I'm happy we won," said Poulter. "There are a lot of people in the clubhouse who like to whine too much when we lose."
