The Billings Polar Bears got a superb performance from pitcher Mike Peterson, but the Northville Eclipse still won the game, 4-3. Peterson threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The winner was Northville reliever Rodney Craig, now 2-1. The loser was Bruce Lewis. Kullervo Koistinen sewed up the save, his 3rd.

Had Kerkko Kivikoski not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Kivikoski hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Eclipse.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Billings manager Steve Ferguson.

The Polar Bears fall to 8-11 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2055 season.
