Matsushita Too Much for Saboteurs in 7-1 Providence Win
Pitcher Toshiki Matsushita was rock solid in helping the Providence Pilgrims beat the Toledo Saboteurs, 7-1. Providence is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 5th win in 20 games.

Matsushita was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 1-2. In 8.1 innings of work, Matsushita gave up 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 9. The Saboteurs were never able to generate much offense.

"Toshiki -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Pilgrims manager Arturo Rochel. "He was the key to us winning."
