The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas knocked off the Bethesda Atoms, 3-1, in USPL Double A action at Atoms Field. Chesapeake pitcher and Waycross, Georgia, native Dale Bernard had an outstanding performance. Now 15-5, the 2061 Cangrejos Fantasmas have been sensational so far.
The Cangrejos Fantasmas had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Chesapeake, with no one out. Bethesda, with the bases empty, was mounting a threat. Carlos Villegas dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch fastball, he grounded out.
