Blue Demons 5-1 Victors Over Baltimore

Mexico City and Baltimore got after it at Baltimore Grounds.
The Mexico City Blue Demons beat the Baltimore Bullets, 5-1, at Baltimore Grounds. Starting pitcher Gilbert Owen was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Owen got the win, improving to 8-6. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run.
Mexico City used a well-timed hit by José Castejón to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Blue Demons ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Random Task.
Mexico City, at 39-54, occupies 9th place in the Premier League.
