Mick Ditka, who leads the PAA in quality starts with 5, had a strong outing for the Ithaca Fighting Imps against the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis at Imps Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Ithaca reliever Allen Wagner was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Harry Arrington took the loss. The triumph puts Ithaca at 18-4 for the season.

Chris Honeywill drove in one run for Ithaca. The 25-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Harry Arrington. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Ditka.
