Streaking Guinea Pigs Win Another One, 5-3
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs downed the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 5-3. The hitting star was catcher Aldred Shelton. Shelton belted 2 home runs for the Guinea Pigs. Matt Griffin earned the save for Gwinnett, his 8th. Gwinnett has now won 6 straight.

Edward Walker had a big 2-run double for the Guinea Pigs in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Gwinnett leading 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher José Garza and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Guinea Pigs ahead, 4-1.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Shelton told the Gwinnett Bulletin.
