|
Hollywood starter Alex Thompson pitched well against the Ft. Worth Cattlemen at The Cattle Pen. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Hollywood reliever Huibert Illidge got the win, raising his record to 5-0. Marc Potts was tagged with the loss. Vic Byrd earned the save, his 23rd.
Ray Harden made it 4-3, in favor of Hollywood when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Shredders went on to win.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Ft. Worth skipper Scott Thompson.
The losses continue to add up for Ft. Worth, having now dropped 8 straight.
