Krewe Get Close Win Over Javelina, 2-1
Kenny Wallace pitched well, but the Arizona Javelina still lost the game, falling, 2-1, to the Crescent City Krewe at Field of the Krewe. Ricardo Fernández claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record stands at 2-0. With the win, Crescent City goes to 14-10, while the Javelina fall to 10-14.

The Krewe beat the Javelina in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out home run Tony Taylor produced in the bottom of the eighth. Batting against Kenny Wallace, Taylor gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he hit a solo home run.

"Tough loss," said Arizona manager Dino Moonglampers. "The kind that burns a little inside."
