Saunders Shines in 6-2 Hollywood Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Joe Saunders, the Hollywood Shredders stopped the New Orleans Voodoo, 6-2, in 9 innings. Hollywood is now 40-53, New Orleans 54-39.

With Hollywood leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Saunders came up to bat against New Orleans pitcher Alex Thompson. Saunders hit a sinker to right for a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season put the Shredders on top, 5-0.

Hollywood manager TJ Reynolds commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
