Hawks Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Mancelona Torch and Laredo Hawks.

Mancelona designated hitter Bastian Booger picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Laredo Hawks, 5-4. Forest Strickland recorded the save, his 4th.

Dan Anderson went 1-3 with a walk for Mancelona. The 21-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Gareth Long. It was his 4th RBI of the season.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Booger told the Mancelona Herald.

Laredo falls to 6-3.
