The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Billings Polar Bears, 8-1, in USPL Double A action at The Igloo. Ft. Polk South pitcher José Benítez had a standout performance. The 8th-place Thunder Hawks go to 10-16.

The Thunder Hawks grabbed the lead in the top of the eighth. With one out, Gilby O'Bryan, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in RBI with 23, hit a grand slam home run off Damien Pierre, putting Ft. Polk South in front, 8-1. For O'Bryan, it was his 4th home run of the season.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Steve Ferguson.
