Vipers Top Krewe in Extras, 6-4

The Vancouver Vipers dealt the Crescent City Krewe a 6-4 loss in 11 innings at Field of the Krewe. Sonny O'Mulrooney was the star on offense. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. Vancouver reliever Sean Ellis snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Carl Gray shouldered the loss. Jeff LaPierre collected save number 1.
Vancouver used the timely hitting of Patrick Nichols to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Vipers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"There's no quit in this team," said Vipers manager Rafael Longoria.
At 16-10, the Vipers claim second place in the Premier AA.
