Ekata Sasthi was a major factor in the 7-1 Gwinnett win over Marquette. The Guinea Pigs shortstop went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Gwinnett pitcher Brooks Brown got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Jesús López got the loss. With the win, Gwinnett goes to 19-9, while the Miners fall to 16-12.

Sasthi contributed in the top of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Gwinnett get the win.
