Riding the 2-hit performance of the 23-year old first baseman Gui-fan Leong, the Gulf Coast Turbeaus defeated the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 10-2. Gordon Taylor earned the win to go to 2-2. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. The Turbeaus go to 10-18 with the win.

Gulf Coast used a big swing from Héctor Castro to get the win. The center fielder walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Turbeaus up, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.

"Not the preferred outcome," Gwinnett manager Cary Collins said, when asked afterward about the game.
