The home crowd had a good time watching the Olympia Ogres and Vancouver Vipers get after it.
The Vancouver Vipers defeated the Olympia Ogres, 9-4, in USPL Double A action at Vipers Ballpark. Vancouver pitcher Sergio Pagán had a standout performance. Pagán went the distance for Vancouver. He gave up 4 runs on 6 hits.
In the bottom of the fourth, Vancouver third baseman Manuel Méndez had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Méndez stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Vancouver. For the game, he went 2-3 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Pagán said. "We did a good job of that today."
Vancouver, at 14-15, occupies 5th place in the Premier AA.
