Blue Demons Beaten By Patriots, 5-3

The Boston Patriots topped the Mexico City Blue Demons, 5-3, in United States Premier League action at Dunkin Donuts Park. The standout performance belonged to Boston pitcher and Yateras, Cuba, native Mario Gonzáles. In 5.2 innings, Gonzáles surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, Boston pushed its record to 49-45.
The Patriots got a big at-bat from third baseman Douglas Wacher. For the game, Wacher went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 17th home run of the season gave Boston a 5-2 lead.
