The Seattle Rocketeers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jason Cox into a win. Instead, the New Orleans Voodoo prevailed, 4-3. Cox threw 5.2 innings allowing 3 runs. Paul Harris, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities. The win elevated the Voodoo to 55-39.
Clint Sheffield, the 4th overall pick in the 2059 draft, chipped in a solo home run for New Orleans in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Seattle manager Andrew Powell.
