Guinea Pigs Earn Late Win
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs withstood an impressive performance by Marquette first baseman Yen-nien Ku to defeat the Miners, 7-6, at Marquette Stadium. Ku was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Marquette's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Gwinnett relied on the bat of Tong-sik Yi to get the win. The designated hitter produced a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Guinea Pigs ahead, 7-5. For the game, Yi had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
