Bethesda Gets 5-2 Win
|
The Bethesda Atoms picked up a win at The Ogre Den, knocking off the Olympia Ogres, 5-2. Starting pitcher Felipe González played a key role in the triumph. The triumph puts Bethesda at 17-13 for the season.
Bethesda used a clutch hit from Kenny Wilson to get the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Atoms ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Felipe is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Bethesda manager Cody Blackburn.
