Mariachis Hand Ogres 6-4 Loss

The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis picked up a win at The Ogre Den, dropping the Olympia Ogres, 6-4. Xing-fu Weng, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in quality starts with 4, was the difference-maker. The winning pitcher was Weng, now 1-6. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 9. Dan Mullally got credit for the save for Nuevo Mexico. It was his 1st of the year.
Nuevo Mexico used the stroke of Chris McNally to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Mariachis ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Nuevo Mexico manager John Sirica said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
The Mariachis raised their record to 12-19.
