Boston Defeated By Bullets, 2-1
|
The Baltimore Bullets faced a tough opponent in Boston pitcher Eric Buchanan, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dunkin Donuts Park by a final score of 2-1. Buchanan went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Roberto Silva earned the save for Baltimore, his 1st of the year. The victory puts Baltimore at 38-56.
Had Francis O'Farrell not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, O'Farrell hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Bullets.
O'Farrell called the win "a team effort."
