The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles topped the Crescent City Krewe, 8-3, in USPL Double A action at Field of the Krewe. The game was highlighted by the performance of Mercer Island pinch hitter Xue-liang Ci. Mercer Island has won 3 straight, while Crescent City has lost 4 in a row.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Ci hit a grand slam home run off David Roberts. It propelled the Screaming Eagles into the lead, 5-1.

"Solid performance from our side," said Screaming Eagles manager Jonah Moody.
